Prime Minister Narendra Modi today congratulated the Indian cricket team for their "wonderful victory" against England and said he was proud of the great performance.
"Well played Team India! Congrats on the wonderful victory at Lord's. We are very delighted & proud of the great performance," Modi tweeted.
His comment came soon after India clinched their first Test win at the historic Lord's in nearly three decades as they rode on Ishant Sharma's inspired spell of fast bowling to demolish England by 95 runs and take a 1-0 lead in the five match series.
