Congress today took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying the PM in his first year in office has emerged as a "marketing guru".

"The performance of Modi government has been zero in last one year. But Modi was glorifying his regime performance boastfully. He is a good marketing guru who has perfected the art of selling products with zero performance," Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh said here.

He said that Modi has just done repackaging of previous UPA government's schemes and running them by projecting as if they had been charted out by the NDA government.

The former Madhya Pradesh chief minister said that the only area where the country has registered growth is meat export.

Singh said that meat export has climbed by more than 15 per cent in the country.

He said that Modi had taken potshots at the previous UPA regime for 'pink revolution' (export of meat) during the Lok Sabha election campaign last year.

But under his one-year rule, the meat export has risen drastically, the Congress leader said.

"Though one year is not enough to evaluate or rate the performance of a government but an evaluation of UPA 1's 2004 and NDA's 20014-15 will bring truth to the fore," he said.

"The NDA government has sliced the budgetary allocation to different schemes and ministries in comparison to 2004," he added.
