Press Trust of India Kuala Lumpur Prime Minister Narendra Modi today met his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang on the sidelines of ASEAN-India summit here during which the two leaders discussed bilateral ties and global issues of mutual concern.
"The bilaterals amidst the multilateral. PM @narendramodi meets Premier Li Kequiang of China for first engagement," External Affairs Ministry Spokesman Vikas Swarup tweeted.
"Chinese connect...India-China ties & global issues are focus of talks between PM @narendramodi & Premier Li Keqiang," Prime Minister's Office tweeted.
Modi arrived here early today on a three-day visit to Malaysia during which he will address two powerful regional blocs at the ASEAN-India and East Asia summits.
