Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to poll-bound Bihar tomorrow when he will kick off several developmental projects, Janata Dal(U) today accused him of "relaunching" measures announced earlier for political reasons while ignoring his own promises to the state.
JD(U) MP and spokesperson K C Tyagi also alleged that inaugural plaques in the state did not carry Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's name and accused Modi of meting out similar mistreatment to Kumar which he had accused the UPA government of doing to him when he had ruled in Gujarat.
Tyagi told reporters whether it was the rail project or the gas line Modi is scheduled to inaugurate tomorrow was announced by the earlier central governments.
"Even the land for the new IIT campus Modi will inaugurate in Bihar was provided by Kumar when Arjun Singh was the HRD Minister during UPA-I. Same goes for all other projects. He is relaunching what was launched earlier," he said.
On the contrary, Tyagi charged, Modi had not done anything on the promises he had made to the people of state during his Lok Sabha election campaign in 2014.
