"The magic of Narendra Modi has evaporated. There is now fear among BJP and this is why they want to avoid elections in Delhi. BJP wants to form government in an unconstitutional and non-democratic way. We strongly oppose this," Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) President Arvinder Singh said at a gathering here.
Singh said that Congress is ready to face elections and will conduct public awareness programmes across the city to expose the "ulterior" motives of BJP.
Other Congress leaders too criticised the "anti-poor policy" of the BJP Government. They alleged that even after repeated assurances, BJP has failed to put in place a satisfactory policy for e-rickshaw drivers who have been rendered jobless.
Congress leaders also attacked AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal who, they alleged, keeps changing his stand and misleads people.
