Gurdip Kaur, from Pehowa in Kurukshetra (Haryana), died at Ivy Hospital at Sec 71. This is the first H1N1 death in the town this year, Civil Surgeon Dr Neelam Bhardwaj said.
She said though the patient died in a hospital here, there was nothing to panic as she belonged to a town in Haryana.
"But we are on high alert and all arrangements have been put in place at the Civil Hospital to deal with such cases," Bhardwaj said.
Besides, three more patients are under treatment in two private hospitals, the Civil Surgeon said.
"All of them are outsiders," she said, adding the condition of the three patients is stable.
