Moong, urad rise on stockists buying

Moong and urad prices firmed up to Rs 150 per quintal at the wholesale market today on increased buying by stockists to meet rising demand from retailers against tight supplies from producing belts.
However, other pulses moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Market Men said apart from increased buying by stockists to meet rising demand from retailers, tight supplies from producing belts mainly pushed up moong and urad prices.
In the national capital, moong and its dal chilka local added another Rs 50 each to Rs 7,050-8,050 and Rs 7,950-8,450 per quintal, respectively.

Moong dal dhoya local and best quality followed suit and advanced by a similar margin to Rs 7,950-8,250 and Rs 8,750-8,850 per quintal, respectively.
Urad edged up by Rs 50 to Rs 4,300-6,000 per quintal. Its dal chilka local, best quality and dhoya were also enquired higher by Rs 150 each to Rs 6,500-6,700, Rs 6,700-7,300 and Rs 7,100-7,500 per quintal respectively.
