Singer Morrissey has signed a new recording contract with Capitol Music.
The ex-Smiths singer has reached a two-album deal with the Los Angeles-based label, reported Digital Spy.
Morrissey is expected to begin recording his follow-up to 2009's Years of Refusal in France on February 1.
The record will be produced by Joe Chiccarelli, who has previously worked with The Strokes, The Killers, Alanis Morissette and Dropkick Murphys.
The 'You Have Killed Me' artist recently revealed that he is also working on a novel.
Morrissey has also been at the centre of controversy for comparing eating meat to paedophilia.
