Newly inducted Minister of State for Home Affairs and four-time Banaskantha MP Hari Chaudhary paid a visit to the border and held meetings with BSF personnel.
According to the local police, Chaudhary spent the whole day in his constituency and attended several functions where he was felicitated by local villagers and BJP workers for being inducted in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's council of ministers.
Later in the afternoon, he visited Suigam village of Banaskantha district, about 120 km from the Indo-Pak border.
"Chaudhary met Border Security Force (BSF) personnel at Suigam border post and took stock of security arrangements. He also met several top BSF officials at the border post before leaving for Palanpur," Banaskantha Superintendent of Police D B Vaghela said.
