Mother jumps into well with son to escape fire, both die

A mother and her nine month-old son died in Banda district when she jumped into a well with the baby after her cloths caught fire.
The woman, while carrying the baby along, was making food at her house in Shahpatan village last night when her cloths caught fire, police said.
The panic-stricken mother jumped into a nearby well, where both of them drowned, they said, adding there bodies were later fished out.
