"SAD-BJP government in Punjab lacks vision, commitment and any long term policy to drive the state out of the clogged situation on development and economic front. The ruling alliance is diverting attention from real issues by making frivolous statements about asking more financial autonomy to states," Punjab Congress chief Partap Singh Bajwa said in a release issued here.
Taking a dig at the SAD's 'Chintan Shivir' at Goa, Bajwa said, "The SAD-BJP trip is an exercise to promote casino culture and appeasing BJP MLAs who are reduced to non-entities in the government."
Bajwa further said that he will meet the Prime Minister along with party MPs to seek a Rs 5,000 crore package for crop diversification in Punjab and that the project should be monitored by some independent agency so that funds are not misused.
