Motorcycle in flames as miscreants hurl petrol bomb

In a suspected case of mistaken identity, some unidentified persons today hurled a 'petrol bomb' at a house on the outskirts, resulting in a motorcycle parked in front of it going up in flames today, police said.
The owner of the house at Vadamadurai, Gibson, a retired government employee, came out after hearing a sound and saw the motor cycle in flames, police said, adding, the incident occurred in the early h ours.
Police suspect that this could be a case of mistaken identity as a Hindu Munnani activist was staying in the opposite house.
Further investigations are on, they said.
