Motorcyclist dies after being hit

A 25-year-old motorcyclist was killed while a pillion rides was injured after being hit by an unknown vehicle here, police said today.
The two were coming from Banga side on a bike when a vehicle hit them at a place close to Bhullarai crossing on the Phagwara-Mehli bypass yesterday, they said.
The deceased was identified as Amanvir of Sultanpur Lodhi. The injured pillion rider, Shamsher, was hospitalised here, the police said.
The body of the deceased was handed over to the family after post-mortem, they said.
A case was registered against the driver of the unknown vehicle, they said.
