MP: BJP leading in 26 seats, Swaraj ahead by over 1 L votes

All set to sweep Madhya Pradesh, BJP was ahead in 26 Lok Sabha seats out of 29 with seven of its candidates, including senior leader Sushma Swaraj, gaining a convincing lead of more than one lakh votes.
Union ministers Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia were holding the fort for Congress in their traditional stronghold of Chhindwara and Guna respectively.
Swaraj is leading by a margin of 2,16,863 votes against her Congress rival Laxman Singh from Vidisha seat.
BJP candidate from Hoshangabad seat, Rao Uday Pratap Singh has left everyone behind so far by gaining a margin of 3,05,163 votes against Congress rival Devendra Patel.
Notably, Uday Pratap had left Congress in the midst of Assembly polls in 2013 and joined BJP.
BJP's Jyoti Dhurve too has gained a convincing lead of 1,11,689 votes against Ajay Shah, the brother of powerful BJP minister Vijay Shah, and joined Congress after the Lok Sabha polls were announced.
From Dewas, BJP's Manohar Untwal is leading by 1,16,431 votes against former Congress minister Sajjan Singh Verma.
In Khargone, BJP's Subhash Patel is ahead of his Congress rival Ramesh Patel by 1,06,276 votes, while in Rajgarh Rodmal Nagar is leading by 1,86,089 votes.
Professor Chintamani Malviya is ahead of sitting Congress MP Premchand Guddu by 1,31,462 votes in Ujjain.
Sumitra Mahajan of BJP is leading by 1,17,971 votes against Satyanarayan Patel of Congress.
Kamal Nath (Cong) is leading by 36,968 votes from Chhindwara against Choudhary Chandrabhan Singh of BJP.
Another Congress Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia is leading by 44,531 votes over Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya in Guna.
