MP-China explore cooperation in tourism, industrial sectors

Madhya Pradesh and China have immense possibility of cooperation in tourism and industrial sectors and efforts should be made to enhance visit of tourists and investors for growth in these two sectors, Chinese Ambassador to India Le Yucheng said here.
"There are immense possibilities of cooperation between Madhya Pradesh and China in tourism and industries sectors. Maximum efforts would be made to ensure that large number of Chinese investors and tourists visit Madhya Pradesh," Le said during an interaction with Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here yesterday.
A Chinese delegation led by the Chinese Ambassador had called on Chouhan to discuss various issues, an official release said today.
Chouhan said he would be happy if China becomes partnering country in Global Investors Summit-2016 to be held in the state.
He said that Madhya Pradesh is an ideal destination for investment following which the Chinese envoy said a delegation of Chinese investors registered in India will take part in Global Investors Summit-2016, it said.
The Chief Minister said the state has investment-friendly schemes, readily available land bank of 25,000 hectares, besides availability of basic infrastructure, which are the main attractions.
Referring to progress of Madhya Pradesh during last 10 years, he said that inclusive growth has been foundation of development in the state.
The Chief Minister also said that Chinese concepts of 'Province-to-Province and Sister City' will be welcomed in the state, it said.
The Chinese Ambassador said that he is very much impressed by Madhya Pradesh's cultural heritage, basic development and atmosphere.
Informing about China's economic progress and future relations, he said that the Chinese economy is moving from quantity to quality.
Referring to similarity between Madhya Pradesh and cities with Chinese civilisation, he threw light on concepts of Province-to-Province and Sister City, it added.
