MP government sanctions Rs 3.31 crore to conserve urban ponds

The Madhya Pradesh government today announced that it has sanctioned Rs 3.31 crore to five civic bodies for the conservation of lakes and ponds in urban areas.
"The state government has sanctioned Rs 3.31 crore to conserve lakes and ponds in urban areas of the state," a Madhya Pradesh Public Relations Department official said.
The five urban bodies include Gohad (Rs 51 lakh), Sironj (Rs 50 lakh), Jhabua (Rs 1 crore) and Mandu (Rs 80 lakh), he said.
