MP govt announces Rs 50 lakh reward to medallist Varsha Varman

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced a reward of Rs 50 lakh scholarship to bronze medal (team event) winner from the state, Varsha Varman to pursue her Olympic goals.
The 19-year-old double trap shooter from Bhopal, Varman won the broze in women's double trap shooting event at the ongoing Incheon Asian Games in South Korea, becoming the first sportsperson from the state to achieve the feat at the Asiad.
Chouhan made the announcement yesterday while congratulating Verman for her achievement, a senior official said.
Chief Minister said that Vasrha has has brought laurels to Madhya Pradesh and the country.
