The Kaswan couple when contacted rejected the allegations saying that the blame was politically motivated.
SP (Churu) Omprakash, today said, "Nyangli in his statement last night named Ram Singh Kaswan, his wife Kamla Kaswan and another local man as the accused who conspired attack on him."
The Churu MP said Nyangli's statement was totally misleading.
"It is basically the matter of liquor trade in the local area and we have nothing to do with this. Liquor mafia have been creating trouble in the area and the attack may be linked with that only," BJP MLA Kamla Kaswan said.
Omprakash said, "Police have zeroed in on some miscreants who are suspected to have opened fire on Nyangli in which he along with two others were injured in Churu."
Nyangli was shot at when was sitting inside his office in Rajgarh on November 18.
