The complaint had been filed in Vikhroli Parksite police station in eastern suburb of Mumbai.
MPCC spokesman Sachin Sawant said that the police official was abruptly shifted without inquiry under pressure from local BJP MP Kirit Somaiya and Housing Minister Prakash Mehta.
"The official was investigating a complaint against a BJP worker Sunil yadav. A local Party leader Dilip Matkar asked the police officer Vikas Raut not to file a case against Yadav. Based on Matkar's allegation, senior leaders and ministers in the government pressurised the police to transfer the official," Sawant charged.
"Such incidents expose the real face of BJP, which preaches morality in public life," Sawant alleged.
Hitting out at Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray, Sawant wondered why the Sena chief was not meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a drought relief package.
"When he can meet the PM for publicising the use of Tablet PCs, why can't he meet Modi for state's good. Does he feel that his request for central funds for drought relief will not be responded to positively," Sawant asked.
