The Leader of Opposition in Madhya Pradesh Assembly, Ajay Singh has written to all Congress MLAs to donate the salary of June towards the relief.
The amount will be sent soon, Ajay said.
On Saturday, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had urged the Centre to declare the Uttarakhand tragedy a national disaster, as casualties rise and a large number of people from MP as well as pilgrims continue to be stranded.
In order to provide quick relief to stranded people, the government has deputed four helicopters to airlift them from rain-ravaged areas.
