The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) suspended interviews for State Services Examination-2012 scheduled to be held from July 30 due to alleged leaks of exam papers as exposed by the Delhi Police Crime Branch and Special Task Force.
According to an MPPSC release issued by its secretary, Manohar Dube, "Taking cognisance of news reports that few people arrested by Delhi Police Crime Branch have admitted that they sold the State Services 2012 preliminary and mains examination papers by purchasing them from a printer, the Commission has decided to suspend interviews of the above exam scheduled to be held from July 30."
The Secretary said that the Commission has asked Delhi Police and the Special Task Force to submit a detailed report in this regard, but so far it has not received the report.
Both Delhi Police Crime Branch and the Special Task Force are probing the alleged leakage of 2012 exam papers after the former recently busted an inter-state racket involved in selling examination papers of different government services.
After getting a factual report from the two probe agencies, the Commission will take a final call on organising interviews for the above examination.
Dube also informed that for the 2013 State Services Preliminary Examination, the Commission has decided to get the papers printed by a new printer.
The Commission had organised the State Service, 2012, Mains Examination from October 1 to October 25, 2013 and the results were declared on April 25, 2014.
Interviews of eligible candidates were scheduled to be held from July 30, 2014, which were suspended today.
