According to a statement, the members of the delegation urged Naidu to intervene in implementation of Justice Usha Mehra commission's recommendations regarding the sub-categorisation.
The Commission had earlier recommended insertion of an amendment in Article 341 of the constitution that provides for the sub-categorisation of caste, race or tribe upon receiving a resolution from legislature of a state/UT passed unanimously, the statement said.
The recommendation is pending for cabinet approval to introduce constitutional amendment bill in the Parliament, the statement added.
Later, the delegation also met Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thaawar Chand Gehlot and briefed him about the issue, it added.
