A total of 33 teams in the men's category and 16 in the women's section from across the world, including the defending champion and host India (both sections), will vie for top honour during the five-day event to be hosted jointly by Indian Roll Ball Federation and International Roll Ball Federation, said Chandeshwar Kumar, secretary of Jharkhand Roll Ball Association.
Chandeshwar will conduct the championship as referee, while Kuljieet Singh was named as an official of the host team.
India had bagged the World Cup in both sections of the last edition held in Nairobi, Kumar added.
