Mumbai BJP takes up woes of Meru cab drivers with Fadnavis

Mumbai BJP has assured speedy redressal of the problems of aggrieved Meru cab drivers in the city and taking up the issue with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
"We have received a series of complaints related to the anarchic rules of Meru management and have decide go an extra mile to address the plight of its drivers," said Amarjeet Mishra, Vice-President of Mumbai BJP.
Meru cab drivers have levelled serious allegations on the company which provides cab booking facilities through calls, website and through their mobile application.
"We have raised the issue with Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and Police commissioner Rakesh Maria. Both have assured speedy investigation into the complaints," Mishra said.

Mishra who met Maria along with city BJP chief Ashish Shelar said, "Police commissioner Rakesh Maria has referred this case to Economic Offence Wing of Mumbai Police and has asked his officials to report him within 15 days."
Manoj Pandey, an aggrieved Meru cab driver said, "This company has extorted Rs 70,000 from every driver after assuring everyone that they would be made the owner of the cab."
When contacted, Joint Commissioner of police (EOW) said, "Yes, our wing has been forwarded to look into this case and we are looking into it."
A member of the Radio fleet taxi, Pandey added, "Now we have been kicked out by company without any receipt for the payment.
