"MMOPL will continue to charge the current discounted fare of Rs 10 to Rs 40 till November 30," MMOPL spokesperson said in a statement here.
Based on the advisory of the Fare Fixation Committee (FFC), MMOPL has already approached the state government and Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) to achieve the dual objective of affordable fare and business sustainability, it said.
Mumbai Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city. It is designed to reduce traffic congestion and supplement the overcrowded Mumbai suburban railway network.
The system's first line on Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar route started operating last year.
