'Municipality EO held for taking bribe '

An executive officer of Antah municipality in Baran district was caught red handed while accepting bribe of Rs 50,000 from a proprietor for issuing a lease document for a petrol pump land on Thikeriya road in the city, police said today.

The Additional Superintend of Police (ASP), ACB, Chandersheel Thakur said that the arrest was made after the petrol pump owner had complained that the executive officer was demanding bribe to carry out the work at the petrol pump site.

The accused officer would be produced before the ACB court in Kota tomorrow, Thakur said.
