The accused was being taken to a court in Sujangarh from Ratangarh jail in a police van when a jeep stopped the vehicle, a police official said.
The persons in the jeep threw cili powder in the eyes of the three policemen in the van. In the mean time, the murder accused managed to come out of the police vehicle and fled, the official said.
A manhunt has begun ton nab the murder accused and also those persons who facilitated his escape, police said.
