Mushalpur to have new Banking District Treasury from April

Assam Government has notified for the establishment of a Banking District Treasury at Mushalpur, Headquarters of Baksa district in lower Assam to start transacting Government Business from April 1 next.
A government release here today said the notification authorised Baksa District Treasury to conduct Government Business with the State Bank of India Branch at Mushalpur subject to observance of Treasury Rules & Subsidiary Orders and laid down procedures.
The territorial jurisdiction of the Treasury will cover the areas of Mushalpur Headquarters and the Head Quarter of the District Treasury will be at Mushalpur.
The District Treasury should be annually inspected by the Deputy Commissioner of the district in addition to the periodic inspection to be done by the Commissioner, Lower Assam Division to ensure proper management and administration, the Notification added.
