The programme, being organised by the Devaraja Sangeetha Sabha, will see well known singers like P Jayachadran, Madhu Balakrishnan, Kallara Gopan, Vijesh Goapl, Sudeep Kumar, Vaikom Vijaylakshmi, Dr Rashmi Madhu, Rajalakshmi performing live to a mix of popular and not so popular songs of the two maestros.
Devarajan and Arjunan masters have scored music for over 300 and 500 films respectively.
Veteran singer Jayachandran, who has completed 50 years in Malayalam cinema and would be honoured at the programme, told reporters here only melodies will remain forever.
Young singers should take time off from their busy schedules and listen to good songs of Malayalam and other regional films, he said.
Reality shows have become business. Though such shows have thrown up lot of opportunties, but have singers like Yesudas or Susheela emerged?, he asked.
