Aluminium prices softened by 0.52 per cent to Rs 105.70 per kg in futures trade today as traders reduced exposures, driven by sluggish demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in October shed 55 paise, or 0.52 per cent to Rs 105.70 per kg in a business turnover of 109 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in September traded lower by 50 paise, or 0.48 per cent to Rs 104.65 per kg in 735 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the spot market, mainly led to decline in aluminium prices at futures trade.
