Myanmar delegation meet Assam govt officials, business leaders

A delegation from Myanmar today met Assam government officials and business leaders to discuss various investment opportunities in northeast.
According to an official release, the delegation was led by Tha Aye, Chief Minister of Sagaing and La John Ngan Sai, Chief Minister of Kachin of Myanmar.
"The delegates discussed at length the business potentialities in the region and the way to harness it," the release said.
They also dwelt at length on the possibilities of active cooperation in sectors such as education, power, tourism and food processing among others for mutual benefit of the people of both the regions.
Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Gautam Mukhopadhaya, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Commerce and Industry of Assam government N Alam Hazarika and other officials of the state government were present during the discussion along with representatives of different industry chambers like FICCI, ICC and FINER.
