"A society that takes cares of a the weak and poor, including the people with special needs will grow faster in a cohesion," Yitachu said while addressing the World Disability Day function here.
He also emphasised on the need to have a proper system in place to tackle any issue and problems faced by the people with special needs.
Yitachu pointed out the Central government has initiated 'Integrated Education for Disabled Children' scheme with an aim to provide not only the Educational opportunities for disabled children in common schools to facilitate their retention in the school system.
The event was jointly organised by Nagaland Parents Association for Disabled and Social Welfare Department at the Heritage here.
