Naib tehsildar held for loot, murder

Acting on a tip-off, police apprehended Shatrughan Singh when he was waiting for a bus at a local bus stand and seized a country-made pistol from him.

A total of 14 cases of loot and murder were registered against him, police said, adding that he was last posted at Kailaras town and was placed under suspension when it was found that he was involved in a number of criminal cases. Since then he was absconding.

Singh is being interrogating with regard to various cases registered against him, police added.
