Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has asked officials to adopt prefabricated technology in housing for speedy implementation of various projects in both rural and urban areas of the state.
He has asked them to adopt the technology to achieve quality in constructions, an official release said.
Housing Minister K Mrinalini and officials who recently visited China and Singapore to study the latest technology in housing constructions today gave a presentation to Naidu here, it said.
The Chief Minister asked them to prepare a new housing policy to be implemented in the state.
He said under the new housing policy, housing colonies will be developed with amenities like drinking water, well maintained drainage system, wide roads, educational institutions, hospitals and green parks, the release added.
Naidu also asked officials as a pilot project to construct minimum 25 houses in each district with prefabricated technology.
"After analysing those houses by elected representatives and public, the department has to adopt the new technology in the construction of houses," he added.
The Chief Minister also asked officials to study the demand of government employees for housing and finalise a scheme after discussions with those groups.
