Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu today called on Peruvian President Martn Vizcarra and discussed trade, developmental cooperation, cultural links and multilateral issues.
Naidu is in Peru for the last leg of his three-nation tour to Latin America.
External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said in a tweet: "No better way to start a day! Vice President @MVenkaiahNaidu met President of Peru Martn Vizcarra. Leaders had a significant discussion on trade, developmental cooperation, cultural links and multilateral issues".
The Vice President reached Peru from Panama where he addressed diplomats and students in Panama City and visited the strategic Panama Canal, the famous waterway through which five per cent of the global trade transits.
