The veteran actor participated in the "Big Bore Event".
Apart from him, renowned Olympian Gagan Narang also took part in the event.
Speaking to the media, Patekar said that he was highly impressed with the flawless arrangement of the event.
"Organising the sport at a central place like Gurgaon will attract shooters from all over the country," he added.
He also urged youth to participate in large numbers in the event.
More than 600 shooters from all over the country will be participating in the championship which will go on till February 19.
