Nashik civic body razes illegal structures ahead of Kumbh

Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) today razed illegal structures in a major anti-encroachment drive undertaken ahead of the Kumbh Mela beginning next week.
The anti-encroachment squad of the civic body demolished various illegal structure erected on the royal procession route of the mega event starting on July 14, a NMC release said.
The areas covered under the drive included holy Ramkund, Balajai Temple, Ramsetu, Gadge Maharaj bridge and Nilkantheshwar Temple.
Unauthorised tin sheds, concrete structures and temporary constructions were cleared during the drive, it said.
