NATHEALTH, a platform of various stakeholders in the healthcare sector, was launched last October.
"The healthcare sector is experiencing a steady and stable transformation world over, with IT playing a central role in every aspect of the healthcare value chain," Nasscom President R Chandrasekhar said.
The partnership is aimed at ensuring faster adaptability of advanced technologies, reduction of service costs and provision of quality healthcare at affordable prices, he said, after signing the Memorandum of Understanding between the two bodies here.
The MoU aims to synergise the endeavours of both the health and technology sectors and extend support to the government and state governments to achieve its 'Universal Health Coverage' goals for the country.
Both associations together will develop a common vision and strategy for harnessing the full potential of technology- based innovation to enable a connected healthcare ecosystem, thus improving accessibility and quality of healthcare, healthcare Federation of India said.
"The MoU is a positive step undertaken to identify and evangelise new class of technology solutions and service delivery platforms that enable optimising the delivery of health services in both Private and Public Sectors," NATHEALTH General Secretary Anjan Bose said.
