The National Freedom Party today announced that it will contest in all the 68 Assembly seats in the upcoming Himachal Pradesh election slated for later this year.
Former BJP leader Mohinder Nath Sofat said a two-party system has taken roots in the state and the BJP had been winning the elections here as the people wanted to defeat the Congress.
In the past, a third alternative had emerged but that did not last long. This time again, a third party would be in the fray, he said.
Sofat said the state executive of the party would be announced within a week and candidates for all the 68 assembly seats would be identified.
Hitting out at the BJP government at the Centre, he said the government has "totally failed" and demonetisation was a "big flop" which only "helped in converting blackmoney into white".
