Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today asked district collectors to take bold decisions and suggested them to follow the 3Ts formula of transparency, teamwork and technology, which he said will lead to another 'T' (transformation) in public life.
"Take bold decisions. Any bold decision taken for people centric governance will have my full support," Patnaik said this while addressing the concluding day of the three-day collectors' workshop here today.
The whole purpose of this continuous exercise is that three Ts of transparency, teamwork and technology must lead to the fourth 'T', which is transformation in the lives of people, the chief minister said.
Stating that he will review the progress made and changes brought about in the identified sectors in three months, Patnaik said "Let us resolve once again to work together towards a strong and vibrant Odisha."
He mentioned that the portal which was launched on the inaugural day of the conference, received 185 suggestions from the people on various aspects in the last two days and the government will lay adequate emphasis on people's feedback.
"In our resolve to fight corruption and to ensure last mile delivery, we have put in place transparent processes in the functioning of the government," the chief minister said.
Patnaik said Odisha has registered 60 per cent success in construction of pucca houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and rural housing scheme performed well in the state during the 2016-17 financial year.
The suggestions received from people include public display of priority list of eligible beneficiaries under the rural housing scheme, setting up dedicated rural housing cells at district and block levels for redressing grievances and monitoring progress and reorganisation of the structure of primary agriculture cooperative societies among others.
The chief minister awarded the districts of Sambalpur, Sundergarh and Mayurbhanj for performing well in pucca house construction.
Rayagada, Malkangiri and Ganjam districts were felicitated for over all performance in housing schemes during the last fiscal year.
