"No forward movement has been registered over the past two years with regard to recruitment of migrants despite availability of posts, as a result of which unemployed educated youth are hugely suffering from feeling of alienation", former MLC Vijay Bakaya said.
He was addressing functionaries of the NC Minority Cell at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan here.
Bakaya, who is also Political Advisor to NC President Farooq Abdullah, said "Government should initiate fast-track recruitment process for filling up vacancies under the Prime Minister's Package and resolution of various issues like renovation of dilapidated colonies in a time-bound manner".
He expressed dismay over highly dilapidated condition of tenements at Jagati and other similarly placed colonies.
Bakaya also highlighted the issues pertaining to migrant employees working in the Valley and hoped that apart from instilling sense of security, all necessary facilities will be provided to them.
