A 26-year-old woman has been arrested by NCB sleuths here for allegedly sending illegal contraband couriers to Canada.
Officials said the sleuths of the agency intercepted two courier parcels of opium in the last few days that were being booked using fake IDs and addresses.
Debolina S, an MBA graduate residing in south Delhi, was arrested and the agency seized opium weighing 4.5-kg from the two intercepted couriers.
Zonal Director (Delhi) of the Narcotics Control Bureau Madho Singh said the woman was arrested yesterday by the agency under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Physchotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The agency has seized some items, used to courier the contraband, from the woman's flat and two of her suspected associates are under the scanner of the agency.
