The Standing Finance Committee of Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has also apprised the proposal with a project outlay of Rs 100.87 crore, HRD Minister Smriti Irani today informed the Parliament.
In a written reply, she, however, said specific projects to be taken up by NCETIS have not been decided as of now.
"The NCETIS as informed by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has been proposed by an interdisciplinary team from IIT Bombay to nurture it as a national common facility for addressing technology requirements of police and paramilitary forces," she said.
