Former NCP MLA from Umarkhed, Prakash Patil Deosarkar has announced his decision to resign from the party to join Shiv Sena while accusing the party leadership and FDA Minister Manoharrao Naik of "sidelining" him.
Announcing his decision to quit the party yesterday, Deosarkar said he was hopeful of getting Shiv Sena ticket to contest from Pusad constituency.
"I have been in NCP for the last two decades but the party supremo, Sharad Pawar and deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar have deliberately sidelined me at the behest of Food and Drugs Administration Minister Manoharrao Naik," Deosarkar said.
Deosarkar said that he and NCP workers loyal to him will formally join Shiv Sena in presence of party president Uddhav Thackeray in Mumbai.
