The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has postponed its national convention, which was to be held in the state capital here on May 10-11 to May 30-31.
Party spokesperson Anil Kishore Jha today said the decision was taken due to the extension of the ongoing session of the Parliament.
"As per the revised programme, NCP national executive will meet on May 30 and May 31 (and it) will be entirely devoted to the national convention. The two-day programme will be held at Sri Krishna Memorial Hall in Patna," Jha added.
Around 9,000 NCP leaders including party President Sharad Pawar, National General Secretary and Lok Sabha member Tariq Anwar and former Union Minister Parful Patel will attend the convention.
NCP organises its national convention at every three year. The previous one was organised at Vadodara in Gujarat in 2012. Bihar last hosted it in 2005.
