The team has been set up to ensure that prompt necessary measures are undertaken by the various stakeholders if a crime against a child under the provisions of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, comes to its notice.
"The Commission has constituted a panel for expeditious action under POCSO Act, 2012 of any crime, offence or incidence which comes to its notice," a senior Commission official said.
The panel is headed by member Rupa Kapoor and includes advisor Ashok Kumar and two technical experts, Ananya Kar Sanghi, and Himani Nautiyal.
"We were informed by hospital authorities that the case was being investigated by a woman police officer of Aman Vihar Police Station. We found that the minor girl was given proper medical examination and care as per the provisions of the Act and subsequently discharged from the hospital," the official said.
