"We don't want to look at development projects with the prism of politics. Railways is a national asset. We will carry forward the good policies and implement projects announced by the previous UPA government," he said during Question Hour.
Prabhu said completion of a railway project is dependent upon various factors like funds available, acquisition of land, statutory clearances from forestry and wildlife departments, cutting of trees and construction of road over- bridges.
"Since many of these factors are beyond the control of Ministry of Railways, timeline for completion of all these projects have not been fixed," he said.
