The joint team had carried out the operation yesterday that resulted in the apprehension despite the cadre making an attempt to flee, a defence spokesman said today.
Identified as Amin Rabha, the nabbed ultra is an active member of NDFB(S) and was involved in a large number of extortion and recruitment activities in Kokrajhar District, he said.
A 7.65 mm pistol, one rifle, two 7.65 mm live rounds and one grenade were recovered from him.
