Tight supply lifts Kishmish prices

Kishmish prices rose by Rs 200 per 40 kg in the national capital today supported by tight stocks following fall in supplies from producing regions amidst increased offtake by stockists and bulk consumers.
Kishmish Indian yellow and green prices were up by Rs 200 each to conclude at Rs 4,500-5,500 and Rs 9,000-10,000 per 40 kg, respectively.
Marketmen said increased offtake by stockists and bulk consumers amid fall in supplies from producing areas mainly pushed up kishmish prices at the dry fruit market here.
Following are today's quotations (per 40 kgs):
Almond (California) Rs 22,500, Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 9,700-10,000; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 6,800-7,000; Abjosh Afghani Rs 15,000-20,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 775-795 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 700-800 per kg.
