The "Johnny Gaddar" star has recorded nine songs, which he plans to use in his films.
"Yes I have plans. Hopefully by mid of next year I'll release my single. I have recorded almost nine songs already. Music is definitely the next card that I'll open up," Neil told PTI.
"We will use the songs in a couple of my films as well. First, I'll release my single, which I am working on," he said.
"I have recently directed my first TV commercial for a tea brand, which has been shot on a mammoth scale... I have decided that as far as the creative sides of films are concerned, I'll start opening up all my cards," he said.
He will be next seen in "Wazir", scheduled to release on January 8.
